Home Movie DVD’s rip well

I’m ripping home movie DVD’s to MP4. This program works great for that. Can’t speak for anything encrypted…...

Bad experience

Horrible! Waste of time. Just plain doesnt work!

Crash a lot

I hate it! Never got it working. It always crashed!! Not a good program to try and I had to remove it.

Not really free,

Won’t work unless you upgrade for $40.

New Macs Only?

App crashed when I tried to use it on my three-year old Macbook, but worked perfectly on my faster processing new iMac.

Needs work!!

The app crashes every time I try to load a file. Finally I could not get it to work at all.

Does not work!!

This app doesn’t do anything but crash. I can not get this application to work at all. Don’t waste your time.

Awesome!!!!!

Works Perfect. I do not know what these other people are talking about when they say this app freezes, maybe something wrong with there PC’s lol. works great.

Worked like a charm!

Was this close to buying the competitor for $15 but decided to give this one a shot. I had no problem at all. Worked quickly and efficiently. I don’t doubt that it crashed on those other people, but it’s definitely worth the free download.

it always crashed!!

Doesnt work! It freezes my computer when i load a disc. I need shutdown and restart. Very bad! Never got it working. Not useful to me. I dont have time to waste on it. Awful!!!

Practical and Easy to use

I’m using a mac, and it works fine. I haven’t had any trouble and I have used this to convert several different dvd’s to digital copies. No crashing at all.

Does not work

That’s ALLL

Seems to get the job done but it’s slow

Unlike a lot of reviewers here, it worked fine for me. No crashes. I will say, it looks absolutely atrocious on a retina screen. They’ve clearly not bothered to keep it up to date. But its free! What do you expect? More significantly, it’s really slow. As in well over an hour for an hour long SD video. So I gave up and fell back to my old favorite, handbrake (also free). Under 30 minutes. Handbrake, doesn’t give you an easy way to see previews, though. And the interface there is a little more geek friendly. So you have to decide for yourself what your thing is. If you have lots of time and like something simple. Here you go. If you want something a bit more robust; probably handbrake. But you’ll have to push through more of a learning curve over there. Either way, I would suggest not spending money on the other options out there. There are good free options.
